Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

OG Life ("we", "us") operates the OG Life game at otsim.uk and via mobile app stores. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

1. Who we are

OG Life is an independent, solo-dev game project. The data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR is the operator of OG Life, contactable at unicredmac@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication ID (when you sign in with email or Google).
  • Game state: your saves, high scores, unlocks, and in-game purchases tied to your account.
  • Purchase records: a record that a transaction happened (product, price ID, timestamp, provider transaction ID). Card details are handled entirely by Stripe or Google Play — we never see or store them.
  • Technical data: minimal request logs, service worker version, and anonymous analytics events used to fix bugs and balance the game.
  • Referrals: if you use or share a burner code, we record which account referred which, to award perks.

3. How we use it

  • To run the game, sync saves, and grant purchases.
  • To operate leaderboards (username only, never email).
  • To detect fraud, abuse, and cheating.
  • To send transactional emails you've opted into (e.g. purchase restored notifications).
  • To improve balance and fix bugs (aggregate analytics only).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal bases (UK GDPR)

  • Contract: to provide the game and honour purchases.
  • Legitimate interests: anti-fraud, service integrity, minimal analytics.
  • Consent: optional push notifications and marketing-style updates.
  • Legal obligation: tax / refund records for purchases.

5. Processors we use

  • Supabase — auth, database, storage (EU region where available).
  • Stripe — web payments and refunds.
  • Google Play Billing — payments made inside the Android app.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and DDoS protection.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.

These processors act on our instructions under their own terms and data-processing agreements.

6. Retention

Account and game-state data is kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept for at least 6 years to satisfy UK tax rules. Anonymous analytics is retained for up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. See our GDPR page for how to exercise them.

8. Children

OG Life depicts adult themes (drugs, violence, crime) and is rated for 17+. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

9. Contact
