Game Basics
Drug Wars is a classic turn-based trading game where you move between locations, buy drugs when prices are low, and sell when they spike. O.G Life updates the formula for 2026: UK county lines, burner phones, e-bike runners, and a debt system that gets more dangerous the closer you are to clearing it.
You start with a small stash of cash and a big debt to "The Older" — the OG who fronted your first pack. Every day the interest ticks, rival trappers compete for the same market, and the police watch your heat level. Survive, rank up, and clear the debt to win.
Reading the Market and Spotting Price Spikes
Prices move randomly within a range for each drug, but they follow a rhythm. The key to profit is knowing what "cheap" and "expensive" look like for each product.
The best traders keep a mental note of the low and high bounds for each drug. When you see a price near the historic low, max out your inventory on that product and hold it until the market flips. Never buy at mid-range prices unless you need to fill empty space before travelling.
Debt Management: The Trap Interest System
The debt is not just a number — it is a trap. Interest starts at 0.25% per day when the debt is high, but it scales up to 10% per day as the debt gets lower. This means the closer you are to freedom, the harder the Older's hand squeezes.
Early in the run, focus on building capital rather than paying the Older. Once you have a strong cash reserve and a few high-value flips lined up, dump the debt in a single day. The Older respects a clean slate more than small change.
Inventory Optimisation and Stash Space
Inventory space is your biggest bottleneck at the start. You can only carry so many packs, and each drug takes the same amount of space. Early on, prioritise high-value items like Charlie and Shrooms over bulk products like Weed, even if the margin looks smaller.
Upgrades matter. A bigger coat or armour lets you carry more and survive police searches. An accountant helps you bank cash safely so you do not lose everything in a bust. Invest in space before you invest in weapons.
Managing Heat and Dodging the Feds
Heat rises when you deal openly, travel with a big stash, or get spotted by cameras. When heat gets too high, the police will raid, confiscate your product, and cost you days.
Ways to drop heat:
- Travel to a quiet coastal town (OT line) and lay low for a few days.
- Hire a fixer to smooth things over with local CID.
- Bank cash through the accountant so you are not carrying everything.
- Avoid dealing in the same block two days in a row.
Travel Strategy and OT Lines
London blocks have high prices but also high risk. Coastal towns and countryside OT lines have lower prices but safer deals and less heat. The best strategy is to buy cheap in the ends, move the product to a coastal town where demand is higher, and sell before the rival gets there.
Watch the travel cost. Moving too often drains cash. Plan routes so you hit a cheap-buy location, then a high-sell location, in as few moves as possible.
Rank Progression: From Yout to Kingpin
Your rank unlocks new territories, better prices, and respect from fiends. The path is: Yout → Shotter → Trapstar → Lieutenant → Older → Plug → Kingpin.
Each rank has a net-worth gate and a minimum day count. Do not rush to the next rank just because you have the cash. Use the time to clear debt, bank money, and lower your heat before the gates open. A high-rank trapper with no stash and max heat is a dead trapper.
Rival Combat and Street Encounters
Rivals are not just flavour text. They buy and sell in the same market, driving prices up or down. If you meet a rival in the same ends, you can fight, flee, or bribe.
Combat is risky but rewarding. A win drops the rival's influence and can net you free product. A loss costs health, heat, and sometimes your whole stash. Only fight when you have the hardware (glock, uzi, or better) and the health to absorb a hit. Early game, always bribe or flee.
Endgame: Clearing the Debt and Winning
The win condition is simple: clear the Older's debt and survive. The execution is harder. In the final stretch, the interest rate is at its most aggressive, rivals are hunting you, and one bad bust can reset your progress.
If you clear the debt and still have net worth above the Kingpin gate, you have beaten the chapter. Your legend is written, the rival remembers the loss, and the next chapter starts harder.
